ANZAC Day 2022

The One Tree Hill Progress Association hosted an ANZAC Day Dawn Service on 25th April 2022 with a traditional Service held at the One Tree Hill Institute, 1009 Blacktop Rd, One Tree Hill SA.  The event attracted around 600 people and we held a BBQ breakfast following the Dawn Service.   We were once again very appreciative of the generours support provided by the RAAF's Air Warfare Squadron from RAAF Edinburgh as gave the main address, the chaplain's address and provided the Master of Ceremonies and the Catafalque Party.

Many thanks to the One Tree Hill Venturer Scouts and their leaders for the amazing job they did with the sausages and pancakes!   We are also very appreciative of the support provided by the CFS Cadets who came very early and handed out the program to people as they arrived.  Thanks also to the local residents who made all the delicous ANZAC biscuits to have with the refreshments coordinated by our hall manager, Pat.  Murray did a great job of the photos which were rushed to Bindi to get into the May edition of the Grapevine.  Our new outside hall Public Address speakers worked an absolute treat (once Steve figured out you have to plug the audio cable in to make sound come out!).   Please see our Events page to view the photos of the day.  Thanks again to all the other volunteers who kindly gave their time and helped the town pay their humble respects to the men and women of the Australian Armed Forces, past and present.

A gallery of photos (thank you to Murray and Steve Huckstepp) has been loaded onto the Events Gallery page.
